All light on our music ensemble Elefantöra! March 29 to 31, Elefantöra has full attention. We’ll do a deep dive into their development from being collaborators to an independent ensemble, developing their own unique sound. At the same time, the ensemble members will be at Elementstudion in Gothenburg, creating new music. The peak of the week will be an intimate live concert in the studio where Elefantöra did their very first performance in 2018. On Tuesday 29th of March, we’ll have a conversation that reflects the amazing journey of Elefantöra. Composer Karen Power, who was there at the beginning when Elefantöra was formed, will be participating. Alongside Karen, we have writer and artist Zofia Åsenlöf who has written about Karen’s and ShareMusic’s working methods. Moderator will be composer and PhD Hugo Boothby of Malmö University who recently collaborated with Elefantöra as part of his research. The conversation will go live at 3.00 PM (CEST) but will also be recorded and available for one week. During the Wednesday, be sure to follow our social media! We’ll publish articles, videos and more about and with Elefantöra. We’ll also have a sneak peek backstage at Elementstudion and eavesdrop on the new music. On Thursday 31st of March, the Grande Finale of the week will take place when Elefantöra perform their new music at Elementstudion in Gothenburg. It will be a most unique concert – we only have 15 seats. The performance will also be streamed live for you to take part of the music wherever in the world you might be. Moreover, we’ll also hold a little pre-talk before the concert for you who are watching the concert online. During that, you’ll get further insight to Elefantöra’s journey together with producer Jan Hansen among others.
